RemitTrac:
Remittance Overview

Getting
money in the bank is the lifeblood of any business.
ImageScan Inc. of Lanham, Md., and its client/server RemitTrac solution
make it easier and less costly for you to process remittance payments.
Built entirely on Microsoft’s powerful Windows NT/2000 operating
system, in 32-bit code, RemitTrac is scaleable and supports a number of check
imaging transports from NCR and Unisys and scanners from a variety of
manufacturers.
And because it uses state-of-the-art PC-based technology, ImageScan’s
remittance system is cost-effective for financial institutions, government
organizations, insurers, publishers, utilities, cable companies and third-party
processors.
Below are some of the benefits of the RemitTrac solution:
Reduced pre-sorting.
RemitTrac
seamlessly handles mixed transaction types, including full and partial pays
and multiples.
Built-in mark-sense detection eliminates out-sorting of
change-of-address requests.
You only need to sort mail into three categories: check-only,
stub-only, and mixed document types.
Streamlined
account setup.
No
programming or added fees are required for supervisors to set multiple
scanlines for optical character recognition; change encoding and endorsement
layouts by deposit; define mark sense zones; and turn courtesy amount
recognition off for specific accounts.
RemitTrac even stores altered scanline setups in case an older document
version is received.
Flexible
architecture.
RemitTrac’s
modular framework enables users to customize their workflow, and provides
built-in redundancy along with “hooks” for seamlessly integrating
additional hardware or new technologies such as electronic payment mechanisms.
The system also can be upgraded to run ImageScan’s integrated
wholesale lockbox solution on the same
platform
Reduced training.
Since
each customer’s workflow, scheduling requirements and balancing criteria are
defined in their account profile, system operators don’t have to know the
special processing rules for handling an account’s work.
The system automatically rejects transactions that don’t match
pre-set criteria.
And, because the system is built in Windows NT/2000, all of the system
modules use drop-down menus and point-and-click functionality.
Feature-rich design.
RemitTrac
includes state-of-the-art components for producing CD-ROMs; keying-ahead in
amount entry; image manipulation; data entry and scanline correction from
image; courtesy and legal amount recognition (CAR/LAR); credit card payment
detection; and pre-balancing authorization.
Reduced
Errors and Higher Quality.
Our
users also report lower labor costs.
