Payment peripherals such as multifunction/multiform printers, card readers and PIN pads, and document readers round out our product offerings.

Unisys Corporation offers a variety of products designed to automate transaction-intensive environments. We provide a complete range of document processors, capable of handling from 30 items per minute to 30 items a second.

We are an industry leader in the development of document imaging systems. Many of our products incorporate this groundbreaking technology to help our clients streamline the document capture, transmission, and storage process.

Payment peripherals, such as multifunction/multiform printers, card readers and PIN pads, round out the full line of Unisys equipment available to meet your payment systems needs.

The Network Document Processor (NDP) 500 processes 500 documents per minute, making it the first mid-range transport to operate as a peripheral to Windows NT PCs. The NDP 500 employs Windows NT as the system software for track operations, image capture and image export. This provides an open interface that can be easily accessed by third-party developers using industry-standard tools such as Visual Basic and Delphi.

Successor to the DP 500, the NDP 500 is geared towards financial institutions and others who process checks, statements, remittances and giros.

The ergonomic design of the NDP 500 won Unisys a "Gold Award" in the 38th Annual Design Review sponsored by I.D. (International Design) Magazine. The judges noted that the design of the NDP 500 "has successfully organized a large number of complex components into an efficient and effective work station. This product has been literally designed around the operator." The NDP 500 Transport user-centered design enables an operator to perform tasks comfortably and efficiently.

The NDP 500 leverages Unisys expertise in imaging and document processing. It simultaneously captures document images in both Joint Photographic Experts Group (JPEG) and Consultative Committee on International Telephone and Telegraph (CCITT) formats. The images are then stored on magnetic media for archiving purposes for further processing.
